Johnson Screens® | PVC & Stainless Steel

Johnson Screens’ proprietary, sonic-welded PVC Vee-Wire® screens offer a high-performance, non-metallic filtration solution engineered specifically for shallow water wells, environmental monitoring, and groundwater remediation projects. Featuring a continuous-slot V-shaped wire design, these screens deliver a significantly higher percentage of open area for a given slot size than traditional slotted PVC pipe or standard non-metallic screens. This maximized open intake area reduces water entrance velocity, minimizes drawdown, lowers pumping energy consumption, and prevents premature sand clogging, making them ideal for high-yield groundwater extraction and long-term monitoring applications.

Engineered as a cost-effective alternative to stainless steel well screens, Johnson PVC Vee-Wire screens provide immunity to severe chemical corrosion caused by salts, dissolved gases, and aggressive ground chemistry in both freshwater and marine environments. Designed for durable field performance and ease of maintenance, these heavy-duty non-metallic screens can be safely and repeatedly treated with hydrochloric acid or Johnson's Nu-Well® cleaning pellets to dissolve mineral incrustations without damaging screen integrity.

At ECT Manufacturing, we supply genuine Johnson Screens PVC Vee-Wire screens in nominal diameters ranging from 1.25 inches to 8 inches. Each screen is furnished in standard lengths with ASTM F480 Schedule 40 flush threads, Schedule 80 flush threads, or plain ends to connect directly with standard PVC casing and well fittings.
