ECT Mfg's standard prepack well is constructed of sch40 PVC slotted inner screen with a 65μm stainless steel mesh outer screen. Sand is packed between the slotted PVC inner screen and the stainless steel mesh outer screen. Pipe dimensions, slot size and sand pack can be customized to suit individual project specifications.
ECT Mfg had its prepacked wells tested to see if they would contribute detectable PFAS compounds to exposed field samples. ECT's prepacked well components were submitted to an independent laboratory for analysis of the presences of 40 PFAS compounds including PFOS and PFOA. Laboratory results found that ECT's prepacked well screens were non-detect for all 40 PFAS compounds tested using EPA Laboratory Method 537M. ECT’s prepacked water well screens are an unlikely source of contamination for Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) substances in field samples.
