The function of monitoring wells can be impaired if the slotted well screen becomes clogged and water is unable to flow freely into the well. The quality of samples taken from the well can be compromised if sediment infiltrates the well. Aqua Sleeve™ filter fabric was designed specifically to address these issues. Aqua Sleeve™ is a knitted, seamless, 100% polyester filter fabric that protects groundwater monitoring wells from clogging and sediment infiltration. Aqua Sleeve™ is pulled over the outside of the slotted well screen like a sock. Once installed, Aqua Sleeve™ prevents sand and sediment from clogging the well screen or flowing into the well. Aqua Sleeve™ is commonly used in gas stations, bulk fuel depots, landfills, or any sites where groundwater contamination may occur.
