HDPE Plastic Auger Plug
- SKU:
- P425a
Auger plugs are used to block the ID of the hollow stem auger when drilling without the pilot bit. Plugs may be left in the hole when sampling or the sampling tube will pass through the flex plug. ECT's HDPE auger plugs are made from high quality virgin HDPE. HDPE is an accepted material for use when PFAS sampling.
Features
- Strong, side-ribbed style auger plug.
- Machined from solid high density polyethylene (HDPE).
- Provides simple and easy installation.
- Will not fall out until you knock it out.
- Labratory analysis results Non-Detect for 40 PFAS compounds.
ECT Mfg had its HDPE hollow stem auger plug tested to see if it would contribute detectable PFAS compounds to exposed field samples. ECT's HDPE auger plug was submitted to an independent laboratory for analysis of the presences of 40 PFAS compounds including PFOS and PFOA. Laboratory results found that ECT's HDPE auger plug was non-detect for all 40 PFAS compounds tested using EPA Laboratory Method 537M. ECT’s HDPE auger plug is an unlikely source of contamination for Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) substances in field samples.
