Stainless Steel Check Valve (SS-13)

SKU:
 SS-13

Low Flow Stainless Steel Waterra style foot valve (inertial pump) uses 1/2" OD Tubing.

Recomended tubing: 3/8 ID x 1/2 OD
HDPE (High Density Poly)
LDPE (Low Density Poly)
FEP (Teflon)

The Foot Valve System is a simple, inexpensive way to sample a monitoring well in four steps.

  1. A Foot Valve is attached the bottom end of a length of tubing.
  2. The Foot Valve/Tubing combo is inserted into the well, Foot Valve first, until the valve is submerged beneath the water table to the desired pumping depth.
  3. The tubing is then oscillated (pulled up and then pushed down) over a short vertical range of motion either by hand or with a Tubing Actuator.
  4. Water builds up in the oscillating tubing until it discharges at surface.

The Low Flow System is designed to be used in small diameter piezometers (usally 1" ID to 0.75" ID). It can provide flow rates of up to 1/2 gallon per minute and can lift water from up to 100 feet.

Also known as a Foot Valve or Inertial Pump
