Stainless Steel Check Valve (SS-19)
- SKU:
- SS-19
Standard Flow Stainless Steel Waterra style foot valve works with 5/8" OD Tubing.
Recomended tubing: 1/2 ID x 5/8 OD
HDPE (High Density Poly)
LDPE (Low Density Poly)
FEP (Teflon)
The Foot Valve System is a simple, inexpensive way to sample a monitoring well in four steps.
- A Foot Valve is attached the bottom end of a length of tubing.
- The Foot Valve/Tubing combo is inserted into the well, Foot Valve first, until the valve is submerged beneath the water table to the desired pumping depth.
- The tubing is then oscillated (pulled up and then pushed down) over a short vertical range of motion either by hand or with a Tubing Actuator.
- Water builds up in the oscillating tubing until it discharges at surface.
The Standard Flow System is the most popular inertial pump. This system is best suited for 2" monitoring wells and can provide lifts up to 150 feet. Flow rates can be as much as 1 gallon per minute.
